Scheer loyalists want to play bait and switch with the public

by Lazarus on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 6:36 AM
Based on the conversations on twitter, the acolytes of Scheer in their eagerness to wrench power from the ruling Liberal Party, see their path to victory as being the same as the Liberal Party. Telling the voters one thing, and then springing their real program on them after being elected.

I can recall these same conservatives screeching in anger when this same tactic was used by the Ontario provincial Liberals and the Alberta NDP. It would appear that this is only dishonest when the other side does it, or as more astute people would call it, rank hypocrisy.

Here are some choice comments illustrating this urge to be just like the other guys.

Suggestions for Andrew Scheer and the CPC for future Virtue Signalling

by Lazarus on Friday, June 9, 2017 6:33 AM
In the interests of helping the CPC find new ways to virtue signal and gain media plaudits, after their success with the environmental/green crowd, I have come up with a few suggestions for Andrew Scheer and his Caucus.

Pride season is coming up and there will be plenty of parades and events where the CPC can show their big tent look. Perhaps Andrew Scheer could take part in the Toronto Pride Parade, either marching arm in arm with Premier Wynne and Justin Trudeau and show their support for the LGBTQWERTY crowd or with the leather crowd where he could march while whipping his caucus in public.

Then there is the opportunity to unify the pro-choice and pro-life factions by marching and demonstrating with both factions showing, once again, the inclusiveness of the party.

Later in the summer will come the Calgary Stampede where the CPC can...

Andrew Scheer and the CPC Caucus fail their first real test of Principles

by Lazarus on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 7:07 PM

Andrew Scheer in his first test of leadership since becoming leader of the Conservative Party of Canada whipped the party caucus into voting with the governing Liberals in support of The Paris Accord on Climate Change.
